New family tool launches for Increased Literacy Habits at Home!
South Western City Schools is excited to introduce a new tool that helps families build strong reading habits at home! Beginning in 2026, parents and guardians will have access to Follett Destiny, our district’s virtual library accessible through your school’s website - perfect for supporting increased learning at home, literacy, and for spending more time reading together.
This new digital catalog, similar to services offered in public library systems, allows families to log in to their student’s virtual library account to view current checkouts, explore reading history, and even manage access to specific titles. With this added resource, you can celebrate reading progress, spark meaningful conversations about books, and help find the right book for your student’s interest.
Don’t see a title you are looking for offered by SWCS? Our friends with the Southwest Public Libraries are tremendous literacy partners in the community! Review their digital catalogs at the link here.
